Introducing Feel Free Grantees 2023

In a remarkable display of commitment on promoting excellency and professionalization to the artistic and cultural landscape of Tanzania, on Tuesday June 06, 2023 Nafasi Art Space with the support from the Embassy Of Switzerland in Tanzania and The Royal Norwegian Embassy respectively, are happy to unveil eight (8) artists and cultural organizations as the outstanding recipients of the Feel Free Grant 2023, marking the arrival eagerly anticipated third cohort:

1. Fahari Yetu Project – Endangered Stories of Enchanted Places (Iringa)
2. Adea TZ – Makuya Cultural Festival (Mtwara)
3. Victoria Alex John – Kibubu Ufinyanzi (Tanga)
4. WiFi – Women Foot Prints (Zanzibar)
5. Emedo – Sanaa Ziwani Nyanza (Mwanza)
6. Refixit – Rebuilding Futures (Dar es Salaam)
7. Scolastica Sultan – Ndoto ya Kalista (Dar es Salaam)
8. Bahati Female Band – Binti Sanaa (Dar es Salaam)

The selected projects have showed unwavering dedication to artistic freedom, exploration of diverse entrepreneurships themes and concepts that promote the uplifting wealth of art, creativity and culture in Tanzania scene.

Feel Free Grant serves as a catalyst for artists, arts and culture practitioners, organizations, and institutions, enabling them to bring their creative visions to life while benefitting both local artists and audiences alike. With an unwavering dedication to artistic freedom, the grant program embraces artists from diverse disciplines, fostering an environment that encourages the exploration of themes and concepts unhindered by external influences.
