John Kitime
John Kitime is a musician, guitarist and vocalist from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Since 1999, he has performed with a number of bands in the country. He is a member of a band called the Kilimanjaro Band. He is well-known for playing the electric guitar. He is part of a duo group called Wahenga, with his friend Anania Ngoliga is the other member of the group.
Kitime is also a stand-up comedian and an actor and has had parts in the Tanzanian made Swahili movies Kutakapokucha and Gitaa Langu. He is also a news columnist for Mwananchi on the Saturday music column and the Wednesday humor section for Risasi.
Currently he is famous for his 3 hour radio program, which airs every Sunday at EFM 93.7fm Dar es salaam Tanzania from 20:00 to 23:00 East African Time.
