Marianne Reim from Germany and Canada works in steel, stone, installation and photography to create works concerning the interrelationships between experience, memory and emotion. She is well known for her nostalgic photo-transfers and her large scale installations, where she somehow manages to make the strong and sturdy materials she uses give off an intimate connotation and at times seem almost delicate.
