A young township girl attending a prestigious English school in the North, gets tired of being late all the time and thus being excluded. So she sets out to enter a singing competition where she could possibly win a car and solve all her problems. But in order to even have a chance at winning with her favorite Pop-star’s song, she needs one key element…hair that moves!
After spending 3 years in England completing her MBA studies, golden girl Thato has returned to her butchery owning, South African township home with a new diet. She’s a vegan! At her welcome home dinner party, all is revealed…but not all is understood.
In 1976 Mfundisi, a father to Khetha (11), realizes the late hour and no return of his wife Sizakele from work. Mfundisi decides to leave Khetha at home in search of her. When Sizakhele returns in a battered and bloodied state, a distraught Khetha learns from his mother that his father will never return. Khetha is never told the details of what caused his father’s disappearance, this causes a disjointed idea of his father actions that night which haunts him throughout his youth into adulthood.
