VIA CREATIVE AWARDING CEREMONY

The 2020 Tanzania in Figures report, produced by Tanzania’s National Bureau of Statistics, shows that from 2016 to 2020 there were 25,164 crashes in the country, which claimed the lives of over 10,900 people. In 2019, the World Bank estimated 31 deaths caused by road traffic accidents per 100,000 people in Tanzania

As part of its international “VIA” program, the TotalEnergies Foundation offers young people in schools the opportunity to raise awareness and educate young people about road safety and mobility.

The international creativity competition “VIA Creative” allows young people to express their ideas and send prevention messages to those around them. This edition of the “VIA Creative” competition focuses on the theme of pedestrian safety.

Nafasi is pleased to announce its ongoing partnership with TotalEnergies Tanzania in implementing the VIA Creative program  reaching  51 public primary schools in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. 10,000+ students were trained by 25 facilitators, hundreds of posters created and 1 winner ( a group of 5 students) to represent Tanzania in VIA Creative International Competition on 13th October 2022.
