Walter Simbo Urassa is a painter based in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. His paintings depict scenes of daily life exploring both urban and rural life. He creates both realistic and abstract paintings, usually including bead work in his pieces.

He is our new Artist-in-Residence at Nafasi for the next month. And we are inviting all of you to come hangout with Walter this Tuesday the 10th of April (5-6pm) and hear all about the plans he has for his residency.

Walter Simbo Urassa ni msanii mchoraji kutoka Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Sanaa yake huzungumzia maisha ya mjini na kijijini Tanzania, na mara nyingi hutumia shanga kwenye michoro yake.

Walter atakuwa nasi hapa Nafasi kwa muda wa mwezi mmoja. Karibu Nafasi Jumanne tarehe 10 April (saa 11-12 jioni) kuzungumza na msanii wetu, ambaye atatuambia mipango yake wakati yuko hapa Nafasi.
